Catherine (Kate) Clark has been an active coach and volleyball player for over 30 years.Kate started as a high school volleyball player at Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, VA.  She was a starting middle hitter for four years of her career and the team won State Championships in 1991, 1993, and 1994.
 
She played Club Volleyball for Blue Ridge Volleyball in the Shenandoah Valley (Virginia) as a setter and a middle blocker.  She also attended the World Volleyball Training Center in Hugenot, New York for 1992 and 1993.She was recruited by numerous Division 1 programs for basketball and volleyball.  
 
Her collegiate career in volleyball was played at University of Maryland Baltimore County, which competed against Towson University, UNC-Asheville, UNC-Wilmington, James Madison University, Georgetown, and others.  After college, she played on numerous adult teams and now plays for fun as time permits.
 
As a coach, Kate has worked with young athletes for over 20 years.  She has a particular interest in developing young athletes in becoming stronger both mentally and physically in their athletic pursuits. She is currently the youth volleyball coordinator for the Hereford Zone Parks and Recreation Department in addition to coaching for her first year with Masters Volleyball Academy.
 
Kate has attended the Gold Medal Squared training clinics and is IMPACT certified.
